This is a condition in which excess fluid is retained by the body … swelling is most often seen (and felt) in the hands, the rings on your fingers feel too tight, the feet, the ankles swell and the eyes are puffy. This could be due to an unhealthy diet … too much salt intake … or too much alcohol.

Dandelion root is very helpful in eliminating water retention. I consider it the best herbal diuretic; it contains potassium and other electrolytes … and helps digestion. However, if your gallbladder was removed, you can’t use Dandelion.

What To Do For Healing Burns…

redcross-72-050w1Burns … superficial burns from ironing, a hot stove or even a sunburn … try this: slice a raw Russet potato very thin, so you can practically see through the slice … apply to the burn - change often, to keep the potato slices moist.

Or, if your hand is burned, submerge your hand into a bowl filled with grated raw potato … you will feel the soothing effect within minutes. Russet potatoes are very alkaline which helps in the healing process. Don’t add any creams ..until the scar is heeled.
